Sheetfed Rubber Compounds
Böttcher has long been recognized by the sheetfed press manufacturers including Heidelberg, Komori, MAN Roland, Mitsubishi, KBA and others who specify Böttcher rollers for their new presses. They know they can trust Böttcher rollers to meet OEM specifications, matching the required core weights, hardness and wall thickness. In lesser rollers, where core weights and wall thickness are not correct, the core may flex at the high speeds in today’s presses and lead to color variation. Böttcher rollers are press ready and fitted in our factory with new bearings and accessories – enabling our customers to keep the presses running longer with optimum printing results.
Web & Newspaper Rubber Compounds
Twenty-first century web printing is driven by incessant pressures to increase productivity, to reduce waste and to maintain the highest standards of print quality. Web press speeds continue to increase while press widths increase. This puts ever increasing demands on today’s press operators, as well as on consumable process materials. To help meet these higher demands, Böttcher has developed a new series of roller compounds for today’s cutting edge web press applications. Böttcher’s new 11-Series Compounds incorporate the advanced dynamic qualities required to meet the needs of today’s higher speed presses. This application of Böttcher’s proprietary ARDT (Advanced Rubber Dynamics Technology) represents a major advance in web press roller technology.

Roller Recover Program

Böttcher will recover your old rollers so they’ll be as good as new. Send your old rollers to us, and, in a few weeks, we will cover them with the same award-winning rubber compound that we use on all of our new rollers. Each roller is ground by computer-controlled grinders and tightly calibrated. For most models, we replace the bearings so that it will arrive in your shop press ready.
