Twenty-first century web printing is driven by incessant pressures to increase productivity, to reduce waste and to maintain the highest standards of print quality. Web press speeds continue to increase while press widths increase. This puts ever increasing demands on today's press operators, as well as on consumable process materials. To help meet these higher demands, Böttcher has developed a new series of roller compounds for today's cutting edge web press applications. Böttcher's new 11-Series Compounds incorporate the advanced dynamic qualities required to meet the needs today's higher speed presses. This application of Böttcher's proprietary ARDT (Advanced Rubber Dynamics Technolgoy) represents a major advance in web press roller technology.

For web offset printing, the 11-Series is available in 25, 30, 35 and 40 Shore A. These compounds demonstrate minimal shrinkage over their entire service life and therefore have less of a need to be reset. They resist increase in hardness and their excellent dynamic properties result in cooler running and less energy consumption. More stable roller temperature results in less color variation. The 11-Series demonstrates reduced ink misting and is highly resistant to chemical attack. These compounds are available through the Böttcher Roller Exchange Program for many web presses and are the new industry standard for web printing!
For coldset newspaper printing, the 74-Series is available in 30 and 35 Shore A. These compounds are very successful and well established for newspaper printing, with their use being demonstrated around the globe. The 74-Series rubber has very good chemical resistance to coldset inks and is also very resilient with shrink inducing inks.
