Proper performance of modern continuous dampening systems depends on the properties and cleanliness of the dampening rollers. In alcohol free printing, there tends to be an increased build-up of ink on the dampening rollers. This build-up desensitizes the surfaces of rollers reducing their hydrophilic nature. Böttcherin FR-1000 is a special wash for removal of ink build-up on dampening pan rollers, metering rollers, chrome rollers and ceramic rollers in continuous dampening systems. FR-1000 desensitizes both rubber, ceramic and chrome roller surfaces.
